How to make a quick and fluffy chocolate cake:
Ingredients you need:
With the ingredients that we propose below you can make a chocolate sponge cake for approximately 8 servings.
- 100 grams dark chocolate (minimum 55%)
- 100 grams unsalted butter
- 100 grams white sugar
- 100 grams Of flour
- 3 eggs (large)
- Half teaspoon of yeast
- The zest of an orange peel
Preparation of the chocolate cake:
So let’s get to work. First, preheat the oven to 180º C. Put a saucepan over low heat and add the chocolate, stirring constantly to melt both ingredients well. Just as the chocolate begins to melt, add the butter, stirring again until creamy.
In a large bowl and with the help of a rod mixer, beat the eggs together with the sugar (it is very important that a foamy mixture is formed). Once this is achieved, add the butter and chocolate cream, and mix well.
In a separate bowl, sift the flour and baking powder and mix well. Then add them little by little to the mixture of eggs, sugar, chocolate and butter without stopping stirring (in this way you will get the flour to integrate better).
Wash an orange well and with the help of a grater obtain some scratches from its peel. Add it to the previous mixture and stir again to get it to mix well with the rest of the dough.
Grease a cake pan with a little butter and sprinkle a little flour on top. Add the cake batter carefully and bake at a temperature of 180º C for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted inside does not come out wet (which will indicate that the cake is done inside).
Ready! You already have the cake ready. You just have to remove from the oven and let cool before unmolding it. To enjoy!
Note: If you wish, you can decorate the top with a little icing sugar or even add melted chocolate.
