The seventh art can become an excellent way to help us grow personally, through certain films that have great psychological power. We propose five films that do so.
The seventh art has left us the most inspiring films that on many occasions can serve as personal learning. Although there are many of them, at Natursan we have made a selection of five films that can help us have a much more positive and optimistic attitude in the face of any adversity that may arise throughout our lives.
Life is Beautiful
If you are a father or mother, the truth is that you cannot miss this film directed by Roberto Benigni, who won him the statuette for best non-foreign language film in 1999. It puts us in the shoes of Gigno, a Jewish man who He will have no choice but to be deported to a Nazi concentration camp along with the rest of his family in the middle of World War II.
Despite adversity, this charismatic character was always able to draw strength from weakness and was always willing to make his son smile, even in the most difficult situations. In our memory there will always be that scene where Gigno wishes “Good morning to your beloved Princess”:
Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump is a clear example that anything is possible if we really put our mind to it. This was something that this boy born in the state of Alabama taught us really well, who despite being born with a lower than average IQ, had no problem reaping all kinds of successes.
These include, for example, graduating from college, becoming the best American ping-pong player in history, or creating a vast empire selling shrimp around the world.
And as Forrest’s mother said, you must remember that “life is like a box of chocolates. You never know which one of them is going to touch you”.
Looking for happiness
Another lesson from shows us once again that we must never give up, that we must never throw in the towel even if life hits us in the most cruel way over and over again.
In this film starring Will Smith, we are shown a father who has lost everything. A father who has been completely ruined by debt, something that has caused even his marriage to collapse. But this should not be used as an excuse if you want to get your son Christopher out. He will be in charge of showing her that she must pursue her dreams. And that nothing and no one should get in their way if they really want them to become reality. In short, “if we have a dream, we must protect it.”
The king’s speech
It was the 1930s when no one in the UK ever thought that a stutterer could become King of one of the most powerful monarchies in the world.
On this occasion we are talking about George VI, a monarch who also had to give diction classes for long months to lose a little of the stage fright that he suffered. In this way, he would be able to address his people with the aim of giving all kinds of speeches in public.
This movie showed us once again that the limits of the human being have little end. And that it is possible to achieve anything if we put all the passion and effort on our part.
Billy Elliot, I want to dance!
Can you imagine being the center of all eyes because you are a boy for whom dance has become his only passion since he was born? Surely today we would have suffered from all kinds of abuse and ridicule.
However, this must have mattered very little to Billy Elliot. This British boy fought “through thick and thin” to become one of the best dancers in the world. Moreover, on many occasions he had his own family against him, who did not see with good eyes that a boy signed up for dance classes.
In our memory will remain that scene in which a member of the audition asks Billy how he feels when he dances:
