Oatmeal pancakes made with goat milk (or any other vegetable drink) are a nutritious and delicious dessert, very complete. Discover the recipe to make them at home.
Crepes are delicious disc-shaped dough made primarily from wheat flour. They are usually served as the base of a dish or a dessert, so they can be both sweet and savory. We must differentiate them from the pancakes, which are characterized by having slightly thicker dough than the crepe, which is much finer.
In the traditional or basic recipe we can find common ingredients for its preparation, such as wheat flour, milk, eggs, butter and sugar. However, this form of preparation can become a “problem” for those who are following a diet in which they do not want to consume food products such as milk or butter.
This option should never become an impediment, since by opting for other equally nutritious ingredients we can make wonderful versions of traditional desserts and sweets, such as crepes. A delicious example is the oatmeal pancakes that we want to talk to you about on this occasion, made with this exquisite and complete cereal that also has oatmeal milk among its ingredients. And it is that, as you surely know, oatmeal is characterized by being a food as versatile as it is complete, extremely rich in benefits and properties, both healing and nutritional.
Ingredients you need
To make between 10 to 13 crepes you need the following ingredients: 250 gr. of oatmeal, 410 ml. of oat milk, 1 egg, olive oil and honey or whole cane brown sugar to sweeten.
Steps to make oatmeal pancakes
First, put all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix them carefully by hand, stirring well, so that there are no lumps. If you wish you can add a little brown sugar or honey to sweeten (although if you are going to fill them it is not necessary).
Once this is done, put a few drops of olive oil in a non-stick pan and heat it.
When the pan is hot, put a little of the oatmeal mixture in the pan and to spread the mixture very well, make a quick circular movement with your hand.
Just at the moment when the edge of the crepe begins to turn golden, turn it over carefully so that it does not bend or break. Wait about 15 seconds and reserve on a plate.
Then repeat until you finish the mixture. Done! When you go to eat, fill them with what you like best: homemade fruit jam, fruits such as strawberries and bananas, honey, yogurt.
