A broth, purifying or not, is always appetizing and healthy at any time of the day, especially after excesses (especially at Christmas).

Today is December 24 (Merry Christmas!), A very special day that we usually share in the company of our family and friends, being very common to sit around the table to enjoy delicious and succulent meals.

And is that after the stuffed turkey, the prawns and canapes, who can resist the typical desserts of this beautiful time of year? Nougat, marzipan, polvorones … can sweeten these holidays, but also become a real “danger” to our health, and especially to our figure.

On days like today, it is also common to drink alcohol, be it wine, spirits, cider or champagne (especially when toasting with the family). Reason why, after finishing the Christmas holidays, the most advisable thing is to know how to purify the liver, mainly because it is one of the organs that most tend to “suffer” the excesses typical of Christmas.

In addition to following some useful tips for the natural purification of our body, for the days following the great dinners (such as December 25 and January 1), you can prepare a wonderful purifying broth, about whose recipe we will talk to you in This time.

How to make a cleansing broth (ideal for after Christmas excesses)?

Ingredients:

  • 2 leeks.
  • 2 celery.
  • 1 onion.
  • 2.5 liters of water.
  • Olive oil.

Preparation of the purifying broth:

  1. Clean all the ingredients well.
  2. Cut them into small pieces.
  3. In a saucepan add a little olive oil and sauté the leek and onion, until they soften.
  4. Then add the celery. Sauté for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add the 2.5 liters of water and from the moment it boils, let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Strain and reserve.

You can choose to drink this cleansing broth throughout the next day after a feast or Christmas dinner.
