The lungs are protected by the ribs and are located within the thorax. The left lung is slightly smaller than the right and also weighs somewhat less than the right. The weight and size of the lungs is also different depending on the sex, in men the lungs can be larger and heavier than in the case of women.

The weight of the right lung can be about 600 grams and the weight of the left lung about 100 grams less, about 500 grams, these weights can be called indicative or as averages since it will also depend on the characteristics of the body of each person.

To enjoy good health and have healthy lungs, we must take care of and clean them by leading a healthy life as healthy as possible and avoiding tobacco.

Vitamin E has cleansing properties that will help us detoxify the lungs so it is advisable to also include these foods in our diet: alfalfa, wheat, rye, brewer’s yeast, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, almonds, oat bran, avocado, peach, papayas, mangoes, passion fruits, asparagus, bell pepper, chard, pumpkin, tomato and plants such as dandelions.

To keep the lungs clean and eliminate secretions it is very important to be well hydrated, drink plenty of water from 1.5 liters to 2 liters of water a day.

We can also resort to other natural remedies such as vapors or vapors with some essential oils that contain adequate properties for the elimination of phlegm. These essential oils are peppermint, rosemary, eucalyptus.

Also steam inhalation of the mixture of the following herbs, thyme, rosemary, eucalyptus.

These steam baths can be done either with a humidifier or with a small bowl or saucepan in which we will boil water and once it is boiling we add 3 drops of the chosen essential oil.
