Plantae is an ideal medicine against constipation and useful for preventing hemorrhoids and anal fissures thanks to its high fiber content, which helps improve intestinal transit.
Although it is true that there is a wide variety of causes that can cause the appearance of constipation (understood as a condition consisting of a bowel movement less than three times a week, usually associated with difficult or hard stools), as is the case with some metabolic or intestinal diseases, the reality is that one of the most common causes of constipation is a lack of fiber in the diet.
That is, we tend to eat less fiber than our intestines would need for proper function, usually because our diet is low in fiber-rich foods.
As you surely know, dietary fiber is essential for a person to be healthy and above all for their diet to be as balanced as possible, since it facilitates the expulsion of stool by increasing its volume, helping to prevent or reduce constipation and the appearance of hemorrhoids.
In addition, it also has other important functions: it increases the feeling of satiety, reduces high cholesterol levels, is useful for the growth of intestinal bacteria and would have an important protective effect against colon, prostate and breast cancer.
It is precisely this fiber deficit that is one of the main ‘culprits’ in the appearance of habitual chronic constipation, which in fact becomes one of the most frequent reasons for consulting a digestive system specialist.
Be that as it may, we are facing a common condition that affects women more frequently than men. In Western Europe, for example, it has a prevalence of between 15 and 20%, while in our country it affects 18% of the population.
Plantae as an aid against constipation
Plantae 3.5 g Effervescent powder is a medicine that belongs to the group of bulk-forming laxative medicines, with a pleasant orange flavor, which contains Plant agoovate (Ispaghulahusk) seed cuticle, with a high content of insoluble fiber (a 15%, cellulose and lignin) and soluble fiber (85%, highlighting mucilage’s and soluble hemicelluloses).
In short, Plantae is dietary fiber from the seeds of Plant agoOvate and made up mainly of soluble fiber, which includes those fibers that, when in contact with water, form a kind of reticulum where it is trapped, forming gels of variable consistency and viscosity.
This translates into something essential when it comes to treating and preventing constipation: there is an increase in fecal volume, degree of hydration and frequency of bowel movements, helping to properly normalize the bowel habit.
