When buying lavender honey or any other type of honey, it is better to choose honeys from small producers and if it were not within our reach to search the market for honeys that come with the AB labeling, this labeling tells us that its provenance is of organic origin or organic farming.

We must also look at the label, which must include the data of the producer, seller, packer, as well as the geographical or botanical identification where the product comes from.

How to preserve lavender honey:

We must keep honey protected from light, the best place, a closet or pantry. The ideal temperature for its conservation is between 15ºC and 20ºC.

We should not keep it in the fridge since the cold makes the honey crystallize. Once we have opened it, we must make sure to close it well again so that it is well preserved and does not lose its active ingredients.

The honeys usually come with a consumption date, although this date is only an indication since the honeys do not spoil. Over time they tend to crystallize but do not spoil.
