Of course, it is advisable to always keep in mind that there are certain contraindications, so that the sauna is not suitable for pregnant women and people with cardiovascular problems and hypertension.

But whether it’s your first time or your body is already used to taking saunas, it’s essential to consider how to take a sauna without putting your health at risk.

Tips to consider

Before entering the sauna

Just before entering the sauna, it is advisable to shower with warm water and dry yourself well. In this way we will help our body to get better at the existing temperature inside the sauna (between 80 to 100 degrees) since the temperature shock is not strong or dangerous.

Inside the sauna

If it is the first time you are going to enter the sauna or you have been practicing it for a short time, try to stay only 10 minutes. In case you are more used to it, it is advisable not to stay more than 15 minutes.

It is better to sit on the middle bench or the top bench. In this way you will not overload your heart. Of course, to keep your body at the same temperature, you must lie down or sit with your feet on the seat.

The moment you are going to get up, do it little by little; this way you will be able to avoid possible dizziness.

Out of the sauna

When you go out, remember that it is essential to avoid possible dizziness by getting up little by little.

Then, first of all avoid a sudden change in temperature, and minutes later take a shower with cold water, always from the extremities to the center of the body.
