It is possible that there is nothing more annoying than a sore throat, which in turn tends to produce other very common related discomforts, such as the case of itchy throat. It is a symptom related to irritation, but it can also arise from other causes that actually have nothing to do with it. For example, it can arise as a result of the existence of dryness in the environment due to the use of heating or air conditioning, or because of having talked a lot.

However, we should not confuse the itchy throat itself with the sore throat that does tend to arise especially when there is an inflammation of the different structures and tissues that form it, either as a result of pharyngitis, laryngitis or tonsillitis.

As far as dry throat is concerned, we are faced with an uncomfortable sensation of dryness that appears in the throat and that tends to cause some tingling, itching and that we feel a tremendous desire to cough. In fact, when we have a dry throat it is very common that when we want to speak we feel discomfort that even makes vocalization difficult. But if there is a clear symptom, that is the very annoying itchy throat.

Regarding the causes that can cause the appearance of a certain dryness in the throat, they are actually quite varied: from breathing through the mouth to dry air or environment, through coughing a lot, sleeping with your mouth open, allergies, pharyngitis, infectious mononucleosis, talking too much or too high.
