Tips to relieve dry throat naturally

1. Gargle with warm salt water

There is no doubt that gargling with water and salt is an excellent and very simple traditional remedy when it comes to moisturizing a dry throat. Why? Mainly because you only need to heat a little water and add one or two tablespoons of salt, and it is very useful for moisturizing the throat and soothing discomfort.

Its application, as you surely know, is equally easy: you just have to sip the water little by little, gargling for 15 to 20 seconds. If you wish, you can practice these gargles several times a day, always avoiding treating the water due to its high salt content.

2. Onion and lemon tea

Onion tea is a useful natural option to hydrate the throat and provide it with some protective and healing qualities, thanks to the fact that this food acts as an antibacterial and antimicrobial, as well as standing out for its anti-inflammatory qualities useful for reducing inflammation.

To prepare the tea you have to peel an onion and chop it. Then put a liter of water in a saucepan, add the onion and a little sugar and let it boil for 10 minutes. After this time, stir well so that all the ingredients are mixed. Remove the onion. You will need cups of this tea throughout the day. If you wish you can add lemon slices to the drink.

3. Tablespoons of honey

Honey is a very powerful natural remedy when it comes to protecting our body against infections, and it becomes an ideal option when it comes to moisturizing the throat and relieving annoying dryness.

To enjoy the qualities of this remedy, you only have to drink a little water and then take a tablespoon of rosemary or thyme honey as soon as you notice a dry throat.

4. Eucalyptus infusion

Eucalyptus makes a good expectorant and quick relief for dry throats. To prepare the infusion you only have to boil a liter of water and add a handful of eucalyptus leaves, cover the saucepan once it boils and leave it to infuse for 10 minutes.

Then, if you wish, you can drink a cup of this hot infusion (preferably before bed), or add it to a glass bottle and drink it throughout the day.
