How to relieve gingivitis naturally and how to prevent it

Gingivitis is the gum’s inflammation. Its causes are very varied and knowing them helps to prevent its appearance. We also discover useful tips to alleviate its symptoms.

Gingivitis is a dental disease in which there is inflammation of the gums. When it is in the first phase, it is easier to cure since the dental plaque that is the cause of this disease has not yet affected the bone and connective tissue that supports the teeth.

If we do not go to the dentist on time or leave the treatment to cure gingivitis halfway, the damage is more difficult to cure, causing periodontitis and damaging both teeth and jaw.

The symptoms that can alert us that we are suffering from gingivitis are: red, swollen, sensitive or bleeding gums when brushing. It is also common to have the jaw receded, the teeth have an elongated appearance and there are pockets in the gums and between the teeth.

On the other hand, other symptoms or signs related to gingivitis are equally common, such as bad breath or having a bad taste or taste in the mouth.

The best prevention against gingivitis is oral cleaning and consistency in it, in addition to going to the dentist at least once a year or when we notice some of the symptoms that accompany gingivitis.
