Flaxseed cough syrup

- 2 or 3 tablespoons flax seeds (linseed)
- 1 cup of water
- The juice of 1 lemon
To do this, we are going to boil flaxseeds (2 or 3 tablespoons) together with a cup of water and leave it until the water has a slimy consistency. Then we strain it to remove the remains of seeds and add the two inevitable ingredients: lemon juice and honey in equal parts. Take one tablespoon of syrup at a time, and remember that due to its honey content it cannot be used in children under one year of age. .
Onion cough syrup

- 4 cups of onion
- 4 cups of water
- 2 and a half cups of brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons of honey
First cut the onion into very small pieces, you will need about 4 cups full of chopped onion. We put them together in a pot with 4 cups of water, two and a half cups of brown sugar and honey (about 6 tablespoons will suffice). Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for 4 hours. Then we are going to strain the preparation and place it in a clean glass jar with a hermetic lid. With that you will have this ideal syrup to relieve cough that you can take a tablespoon when you need it.
Herbal syrup for cough relief
If you like spices and aromatic herbs to incorporate into food, in this case we suggest using them to relieve coughs.
- 1 teaspoon chamomile
- 1 teaspoon linden
- 1 teaspoon of green anise, crushed
- 1 teaspoon sweet cloves
- The juice of 1 lemon
For this we will place in a pot, chamomile, linden, crushed anise, sweet cloves, pour water and boil it for 3 minutes. We let it rest for 5 minutes and strain it. Finally we add honey and lemon juice. We also place it in a tightly covered glass jar and leave it in the fridge.
