How to make a homemade deodorant for underarm odor

The natural ingredients that we use to make this homemade deodorant contain  astringent, antiseptic, and antibiotic properties. In addition to these properties, each of these ingredients also provides its aromas such as the scent of lavender, rosemary and lemon. Once the deodorant is prepared, we will apply it to the armpits after showering.

How to prepare homemade underarm deodorant:

To prepare the deodorant we will make an infusion with fresh or dried rosemary.

Ingredients you need:

We will need 250 ml. of water and 5 tablespoons of rosemary.

Preparation:

We put the water to heat and when it boils we add the rosemary. We keep the infusion boiling for about 3 minutes. We turn off the heat, cover the infusion and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Uncover, strain the infusion and let it cool.

We add the following essential oils to the rosemary infusion:

  • 12 drops of lavender essential oil.
  • 12 drops of lemon essential oil.
  • 25 ml. 90 degree alcohol.

We stir to mix and store the deodorant in a bottle that has a spray bottle. Every time we are going to apply it to the armpits, we must first shake it.

Helpful tips to avoid underarm sweating

To avoid armpit sweating as much as possible, we can follow some tips or habits like the ones we recommend below:

  • Daily shower and yes it is necessary even twice a day.
  • Avoid eating foods such as strong spices, garlic, onion, as they favor the appearance of the smell in sweat.
  • Do not buy clothes made of acrylic fabric as the skin does not perspire adequately.
  • Choose light, breathable garments made of natural fibers such as linen or cotton.
  • Avoid coffee, tobacco, alcohol.

By following these basic tips, you will largely avoid excessive sweating, and with it the possible appearance of the annoying and uncomfortable odor.
