How to improve cracks in the skin with natural remedies

  • Protect yourself from the cold, go out warm, and especially cover the areas most exposed to the cold, such as hands, ears, wear gloves, earmuffs, hat, and scarf.
  • For daily hygiene of both hands and body, use mild, hypoallergenic soap with a neutral ph.
  • Keep facial skin well hydrated with a nourishing moisturizer and enrich it with vitamin E.
  • Protect lips with protective lip balm.
  • Moisturize your hands with a nourishing moisturizer enriched with the following vitamins, A, B, C, and E.

If even protecting your skin from the cold, from environmental agents, and following the care that we have mentioned before, our skin cracks, we can resort to natural remedies.

We can prepare these natural remedies at home or get them already prepared in herbalists, Para pharmacies, or natural product stores.

The natural preparations of herbs and medicinal plants can be obtained in different formats, to make infusions, in extract or in essential oils.

Natural remedies to improve cracks in the skin

Honey for chapped skin

Homemade honey and sweet almond oil balm for chapped lips

Argon vegetable oil

We will apply a little argon oil on the cracked areas of our skin. When buying vegetable oil, it is better to opt for virgin oils, from organic sources.

Other beneficial vegetable oils that we can turn to are: wheat germ oil, sweet almond oil, sesame oil, avocado oil.

Yarrow infusion for cracks

Yarrow is a medicinal plant that has healing properties. For the yarrow infusion we need 200 ml of water and a tablespoon of yarrow.

We put the water to boil and once it boils we add the tablespoon of yarrow. We turn off the heat, cover the infusion and let it rest covered. We strain the infusion and when it is cold we can use it.

To apply it on the cracked areas we will soak sterile gauze and put it on the cracks

Apply vitamin E capsules on the cracks

The Vitamin E is very beneficial to regenerate skin. To apply vitamin E on cracked skin, we just need to open the capsule and apply the content on the cracked areas.

The vitamin E capsules can also be incorporated into the moisturizing cream that we usually use to care for the skin of our face; vitamin E helps us to slow down the aging of the skin.

We only need to open a capsule and mix it with the moisturizer or wrinkle cream; we can also put vitamin E in our night cream.
