How to break up kidney stones naturally

Do you have kidney stones? Discover some useful tips to break and dissolve kidney stones in a simple, effective and completely natural way.

There is no doubt that one of the most common disorders that ultimately tend to affect the kidneys the most are kidney stones, which are popularly known as kidney stones and from a more medical point of view as kidney stones or nephrolithiasis. They basically consist of a small piece of solid material that is formed inside the kidney from different substances found in urine.

Thus, for example, the most common and usual kidney stone is the one that contains calcium, mainly because more calcium is retained in the kidneys than any other substance, which then joins other waste to finally form the stone, since the Calcium is definitely part of a healthy diet. But he’s not the only one. We can also find the striate stone, which can form after an infection of the urinary system; with the calculation of cysteine, component of the muscles and nerves; and uric acid stone , which forms when too much acid is present in the urine.

About its symptoms, it is traditionally associated with kidney pain, which is characterized precisely by being tremendously annoying and painful: very intense pain in the side that moves to the waist or back, a burning sensation when urinating and difficulty urinating with blood, vomiting, chills, fever, and very cloudy urine.

The truth is that preventing kidney stones is actually quite simple, since although some types of kidney stones are hereditary, the most common are related to the lifestyle we follow. Of course, we must bear in mind that eating any particular food does not determine the formation of kidney stones in people who do not have a predisposition to form them. This means that a person with a family history of stones is more likely to develop kidney stones than a person who does not.

Natural tips to dissolve kidney stones

Stonebreaker Infusion

As its name suggests, the stonebreaker is one of the best-known medicinal plants to help our body dissolve kidney stones in a more natural and simple way, thanks to its antilithiasic and diuretic action that, in addition to helping us dissolve the stones, facilitates the grit removal.

When enjoying its most important medicinal qualities, it is necessary to prepare the  stonebreaker infusion. For its effect to be as expected, it must be used fresh, being harvested during the flowering period (early spring and summer).

To prepare the infusion you only need 20 grams of stonebreaker per cup of water. First put water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Just before it starts to boil, turn off the heat, add the stonebreaker, cover and leave to infuse for 5 minutes. Then strain and drink.

Nettle infusion

Nettle is another of those plants also known by the same name as stonebreaker, as it helps break up kidney stones and at the same time is useful for reducing the inflammation present in the bladder.

To prepare the nettle infusion you only need one teaspoon of fresh nettle per cup of water.  Put the water in a saucepan or saucepan and bring to a boil. When it starts to boil, turn off the heat, add the nettle, cover and let it infuse for 5 to 6 minutes. Strain and drink between 2 to 3 cups a day.

Bearberry infusion

While the infusion of stonebreaker is one of the best known and most popular when it comes to dissolving kidney stones, bearberry is traditionally known for its usefulness when it comes to treating urinary tract infections in a completely natural way.

However, did you know that it is also useful for dissolving kidney stones and in turn reduces uric acid? For this reason, it is especially suitable when the cause of stones is due to the excessive presence of uric acid in the blood. Its qualities do not end here, since it increases the flow of urine by acting as a diuretic infusion.

To prepare the infusion you need a teaspoon of bearberry for every cup of water. You must follow the same steps indicated in the previous infusion recipes. And, if you wish, you can drink between 2 to 3 cups of infusion a day.

Drink a lot of fluids

In addition to the infusions indicated above, which you can easily make and prepare at home, it is also very important to drink sufficient amounts of liquid, as it is very useful in helping the kidney stone to move , thereby eliminating it. Faster. On the other hand, it becomes a fundamental option to prevent the formation of kidney stones.

In this sense, water is always the best option, and it is more advisable to consume it in several glasses throughout the day to produce a sufficient amount of urine every 24 hours.  Precisely one sign that you are drinking enough water is to look at the color of your urine: if it is clear or very clear it means that you are drinking the recommended amount, while if it is dark yellow it would mean the opposite.

Avoid coffee and tea

Although, as we have seen, there are many useful infusions both for prevention and for dissolving kidney stones, tea is a drink that can cause us to lose fluid too quickly, which can cause dehydration. The same goes for coffee.

Therefore, they are two drinks that we must put aside during the natural treatment to eliminate kidney stones.
