Healthy vacation

We want to remind those of you who are lucky enough to take your well-deserved vacations over the next few weeks, how opportune these days are to give our bodies a healthy and balanced diet.

With all the time of the day at your disposal, it would be a real crime for you to go to fast food restaurants, since their menus are fried with poor quality oils and the food contains a large amount of saturated fat.

In this sense, an optimal way to enjoy a healthy holiday, and also to pamper and take care of our health from within, is to follow a balanced and healthy diet, based on the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables. In fact, it is an ideal time to enjoy excellent refreshing salads.

Juices and natural drinks can also be useful to refresh ourselves these days, as can be the case with infusions or cold teas, which in addition to mitigating the heat that we may feel, provide us with purifying properties that help our body eliminate those toxins that does not need.

How to enjoy a healthy vacation:

If you stay in a hotel, avoid breakfasts full of calories, however tempting they may be, try to choose fruit or cereals if you do not want to return with a few extra kilos.

When you go to restaurants, remember that you do not need to eat the entire portion that is served to you, but only until you feel satisfied. The option to share very large portions is also ideal to complete your route for the day without feeling too heavy.

If you spend your vacation in an apartment, you’re in luck, because whether you’re in  BerlinIstanbul or New York; supermarkets will always have what you need to prepare your salads and light sandwiches that you can carry in your backpack. Preparing your meals from your accommodation you will always eat much cheaper and of better quality.

Do not forget to eat two pieces of fruit daily and drink at least 2 liters of water to avoid dehydration, low blood sugar and constipation. Main discomforts of the holidays, always a consequence of a poor diet.
