Well, if so, you just have to take a pencil and paper to write down the following ingredients: 1 liter of whole milk, five tablespoons of sugar, two tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 cinnamon stick, Maria cookies, 5 eggs and a little lemon zest.

Making Grandma’s Custard:

  1. We heat 750ml of milk together with cinnamon and lemon zest. Before it starts to boil, lower the heat and stir everything for five minutes.
  2. After this, mix the egg yolks in a bowl with the sugar, the rest of the milk and the cornstarch. It is a good idea to use a few rods so that everything is mixed evenly.
  3. Strain the milk from the first point and add it to the bowl with the rest of the ingredients gradually. We continue beating vigorously until we get very thick custard.
