Do you have sensitive and delicate skin? Take care of her with these remedies

Sensitive skin is usually a very delicate type of skin, which requires precise care.  Discover how to take care of it naturally with ideal natural remedies for your skin.

Sensitive skin is undoubtedly delicate skin that needs special care so that the skin does not suffer and always remains healthy. It is a type of skin that can actually affect the entire body, however it most often appears on the skin of the face or face.

The skin fulfills many functions and among them is to act as a natural barrier to be able to defend our body from the different aggressions such as viruses, bacteria, environmental aggressions and other external agents to which we are exposed.

When that natural barrier that the skin has deteriorates, the skin loses the function of regulating moisture levels, so the skin is more exposed to aggression and irritation, losing hydration, stability, elasticity, and firmness.

Symptoms of sensitive skin

What symptoms can sensitive skin produce, and how can we know if we have it or not?  There are some classic signs that can help in its diagnosis. The most common symptoms are the following:

  • Rough, scaly skin.
  • Red skin, with rashes.
  • Burning sensation, itching.
  • Sensation of pricks, tightness.

Sensitive skin can affect us at any age, from babies to adults and even as we age.

The skin can also be altered for different causes or reasons such as those detailed below:

Floral waters or tonics prepared with flowers, herbs or medicinal plants are a good natural remedy to relieve the symptoms of sensitive or delicate skin.

Water of roses

Rose water provides our skin with antioxidants, it prevents us from the oxidation of our cells, it also provides us with benefits such as toning, soothing, and helps us care for and rejuvenate the skin.

  • Petals of 3 roses.
  • Half a liter of water.

We put the rose petals together with the water in a cauldron. We turn on the fire and cook with the minimum fire for two hours.

Remove from the heat, cover the rose water and leave to macerate for two days.

We put the rose water back on the fire and cook again with minimum heat for an hour. We put out the fire and strain the rose water.

Once strained, let it cool. Once cold, store it in a sterilized glass container equipped with a sprayer.

We can wash our faces with rose water daily or spray the face and dry it gently, with light touches, without rubbing.

Chamomile water

Chamomile water gives us soothing, anti-inflammatory, decongestant, antiseptic properties, softens the skin and refreshes it.

  • 2 tablespoons of chamomile flowers.
  • Half a liter of water.

In a cauldron we put the water to boil. When it starts to boil, add the chamomile. Let boil for 3 minutes.

Turn off the heat, cover the preparation and let it rest for 10 minutes. Uncover the chamomile preparation and strain it.

Let it cool and once cold, store it in a previously sterilized glass container equipped with an atomizer.

We can use chamomile floral water daily to cleanse our facial skin or to refresh and calm our skin.

We can also spray our face when we need to relieve irritated skin.

We will take into account drying gently, with soft touches and without rubbing.

Rice water

The water resulting from soaking this cereal has excellent properties for the health of our skin, especially it is indicated for sensitive skin, although it is useful for all skin types.

  • Half a cup of rice.
  • Enough mineral water to be covered.

Put the rice in a cup and then add the water so that it is covered.

We stir with the help of a spoon so that it releases the properties of the rice and the water turns white.

Strain the rice water.

  1. Dip a cotton pad or cotton ball in the rice water.
  2. We apply the cotton on the areas affected by irritation.
  3. Let the rice water act on the skin for 15 minutes.
  4. Then we wash our faces with cold water.
