Ingredients needed to prepare chocolate muffins:
- 200g of chocolate (best dark chocolate).
- 250g flour (or whole meal flour).
- 200 ml. milk.
- 100g of sugar.
- 50ml of oil (approximately 1/4 glass).
- 1 teaspoon salt.
- 1 egg.
- 3 teaspoons of baking powder.
Preparation:
First we must mix the milk with the beaten egg and the oil. Add the flour, yeast, salt and sugar, stirring everything until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
At this point, add the grated chocolate, mixing everything again and distributing it in large-size curled paper capsules.
We must finally cook the cupcakes in the oven at a temperature of about 180º, until they have risen and, then, are golden, which means approximately 25 minutes of cooking at this temperature.

Chocolate and coffee muffins
If you are passionate not only about chocolate but also about coffee, there is no doubt that these muffins are ideal for Christmas snacks.
Ingredients (8 muffins): 50 g of flour, 50 g of butter, 1 egg, 1 level teaspoon of chemical yeast, 2 teaspoons of pure unsweetened cocoa, 1 teaspoon of freeze-dried coffee, 60 g of icing sugar, a pinch of salt .
Preparation: Put the butter in a large bowl or cup and melt it in the microwave. If you don’t have a microwave, you can do it over low heat. Once melted, set aside and let it cool down a bit. In another large bowl, sift the flour together with the yeast, and add the cocoa and freeze-dried coffee. In another bowl, beat the egg and add the sugar and salt, beating again. Add to this liquid mixture first the flour and then the butter, and beat again until you get a light consistency. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 1 hour. Then distribute the dough in the holes for the cupcake mold and bake between 9 to 10 minutes at 160ºC.
Chocolate filled cupcakes
The recipe that we propose now is even more delicious if possible, especially designed for true chocolate lovers. In addition, it is very easy to prepare.
- Ingredients (8 muffins): 50 g of flour, 50 g of butter, 1 egg, squares of dark chocolate, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of chemical yeast, 2 teaspoons of pure unsweetened cocoa, 60 g of powdered sugar, a pinch of Salt.
- Preparation: Put the butter in a large bowl and melt it in the microwave, then set it aside and let it cool a bit. In another large bowl sift the flour together with the yeast and pure cocoa, and mix a little. In another bowl, beat the egg and add the salt and sugar, beating again. To this liquid mixture add the flour mixed with the yeast, and then the butter, and beat again. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 1 hour. Then, when putting the dough in the molds, you must first cover up to half of the mold with the dough, add a square of dark chocolate in each mold, and finally cover with the rest of the dough. Bake between 9 to 10 minutes at 160ºC.
