Apple, cottage cheese and cinnamon toast recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of toast
  • 2 apples
  • 50 g of cottage cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of butter
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Sugar

Preparation:

First of all we are going to wash the apples well. Then peel them well and cut them into very thin slices. Put a pan on the heat and add the butter to melt it. Once melted, add the sliced ​​apple and continue cooking until the apple begins to cook. At this time add the sugar on top and the ground cinnamon.

Then lower the heat and let it cook for a few more minutes. Once the apple is ready, reserve it. When it is a little colder, distribute the cooked apple on the different slices of toast. To finish, arrange the cottage cheese on top. Ready! You can already enjoy them.

Other equally delicious options

If you want to enjoy this delicious breakfast or snack, but you don’t have apples, the truth is that you can easily substitute them for other equally exquisite fruits, and because of their flavor they also tend to combine well with cinnamon.

A good example is the  pear, which you can add to the recipe in the same way that, for example, you have done it with the apple, although the most appropriate thing is to choose to lower the heat a little and not cook it so much, since the most common is that can soften a lot. In this case, the ideal is to make a kind of puree. Or figs, which are always delicious with any type of savory preparation. On this occasion you can either cook them or cut them into slices and place them as is on top of the toast.

And if you don’t have fresh fruit, you can also use any type of jam or preserve, which, as you know, also combines well with cheese (or cottage cheese).
