3 home methods to get rid of tartar

Tartar can become a real health problem for our teeth and gums. Therefore, it is essential to know some natural remedies to eliminate it easily. We discover the most useful ones.

The tartar or calculus also known as is the accumulation of all kinds of food and waste through every corner of our teeth.

This can cause all kinds of yellowish spots to appear, something that can be treated with just three homemade methods that we will discuss below. Thanks to them, all your teeth will regain their original enamel without having to go to the dentist.

What is tartar?

The popularly known as tartar, and medically as tartar or dental calculus, consists of  bacterial plaque which has finally hardened on the teeth, as a consequence precisely of the deposit of minerals on said bacterial plaque.

In fact, the most common is that it forms both on the edge of the gums and below them, and can also cause irritation of the different gingival tissues. In the long run it can cause tooth decay and gum disease.

Sodium bicarbonate

The sodium bicarbonate is one of the best natural dentifrices worlds. More and more people are using it to keep their teeth much cleaner and whiter, thus avoiding the appearance of unwanted stains caused by tobacco or excessive consumption of wine or carbonated soft drinks.

Likewise, this mixture is also a great ally to get rid of tartar. And for this, it will be necessary to take into account the following steps to follow.

First, you have to take a tablespoon of baking soda (10 g) along with another teaspoon of salt (5 g). Next, we take a container that allows us to mix these two ingredients that we will wet in our toothbrush with a little warm water.

After this, you just have to brush as if we were using a conventional paste. Although it is recommended to use more force in those areas where tartar is more present. Repeating this process twice a day during the morning and at night will be more than enough to get rid of the dental stone.

Sesame seeds

Any type of food also offers extensive solutions to treat tartar. This is the case, for example, of sesame seeds with which you can carry out a simple but effective technique when it comes to enjoying healthier and brighter teeth.

For this occasion it is only necessary to take a good handful of sesame seeds, put them in your mouth and finally chew them for two long minutes. Try not to swallow them at any time. The next step to follow is to take a completely dry brush and rub it all over the teeth with great care.

To finish, you just have to rinse your entire mouth well with a good amount of water and repeat the process a couple of times a week. Surely after a while you will start to see the results.

Fruits and strawberries in particular

Fruits can also help enormously to get rid of tartar in a clean and natural way. For example, in the first place there are both pears and apples that you can consume on a daily basis to enjoy healthier gums. Although from Natural we advise you to take them without peeling since their own skin acts as a natural brush helping to get rid of imperfections or food remains that accumulate so much between our teeth.

On the other hand, there is a particular fruit that will help us more in this regard. This time we refer to strawberries, which can be prepared in the following way so that the tartar passes to a better life.

The first thing to do is cut it into a multitude of thin slices. Next, we take all these strawberry pieces and literally scrub them for seven minutes throughout the mouth cavities. Then, you just have to take a little warm water and clean your mouth well. It is recommended to repeat this process on a daily basis and before going to sleep. This way you will surely enjoy healthy, shiny teeth without a hint of tartar.
