10 phrases you should eliminate to be a little happier

There are phrases that if we say them, and also repeat them, only help us to be a little unhappy every day. Find out what they are and why you should eliminate them to live better.

Throughout our day-to-day life, we may verbalize phrases that are only going to undermine our confidence and self-esteem. The worst of all is that many times we do not realize it.  And we do not fall that they only serve to be less happy both in the short and long term.

Would you like to know what they are? If so, throughout the following article we will tell you about them with the aim that you become much more optimistic and positive people

10 phrases we should never pronounce to be happier

“I can’t, I shouldn’t”

The truth is that it is impossible for there to be so much negativity within the same sentence. If from the beginning you put obstacles and barriers to our goals and objectives, surely you will be committed to failure. If for any circumstance at that time it is not possible, the best thing is to say: “I will wait for a more suitable moment.”

“I do not know”

Even a server like me uses this phrase quite a few days a week. And over the years I have realized that it is useless. By saying “I don’t know”, we are closing the doors to possible solutions that are often within our reach and that are sometimes easy to carry out. But out of sheer laziness or laziness, we did not have the initiative to take action.

“I need you”

A true classic in Hollywood romantic movies. However, with the passage of time its meaning has been misinterpreted. Ultimately, no one “needs” anyone to live and be happy.  If we simply want to show our partner that we love her, just say “I love you ” or “I would like to spend this day with you.” Easy right?

“What a boredom!”

Who has not been mired in eternal boredom on a Friday afternoon or weekend? This is quite normal. But it is also not beneficial that we make it a routine. In the era of information and the internet, we have a wide range of possibilities to satisfy our curiosity or learn a new language without leaving home.

“I am incompetent”

It is obvious that there will be areas that are better suited to us than others. However, we should not whip ourselves with this harsh phrase either. It will only make us feel worse. It is better to say, “I dedicate myself to other things” or “I will keep trying to improve little by little.”

“This has been a failure”

It seems like the world falls apart every time we say this phrase. “Failures” are part of our life when it comes to achieving our most ambitious goals. Hence, in the face of any error or unexpected adversity, we have to come out more reinforced. Failure can help us improve to later savor the honeys of success.

“It’s very ugly / I don’t like it at all”

The concept of beauty has evolved over time. It is a very subjective term that depends on the tastes of each person. With this we do not say that you cannot express your opinion when something is to your dislike. But there are much more constructive ways of saying it.

“You’re a little weird”

Another of the most ambiguous phrases that exist. We as people are equal before the law. But later in other areas, we are very different beings with different cultures, languages, religions and tastes that we should not impose on others. Each opinion is valid if it is expressed in a respectful and assertive way.

“You will see”

Typical phrase that is said when one is angry. However, sometimes it just shows aggressive passivity that can make things even worse. Therefore, if we are upset, it is best to explain the causes and make the other person see what they should do to change it. Otherwise it just becomes a fight of egos that leads nowhere.

“Only bad luck surrounds me”

The phrase of the pessimists par excellence. First of all, it is normal to feel dejected whenever things do not go well. And so let us blame bad fortune for the problems in our life. However, it is in our hands to change the situation if it is not to our liking. And for sure, good luck will make us smile again much sooner than we imagine. But to do this, you have to move. You have to get out of your comfort zone and explore your limits.
